It was published in 1994 by University Press of
America in Lanham, Maryland.

This is a hardcover 174-page book which presents portraits of the two families from which
Stuart is descended. Some of the stories include the crossing of Stephen Hopkins on the
Mayflower (1619) during which his wife bore a child (Oceanus), Lt.Col. Moses Rawlings’
fight against the British in the Revolutionary War (1775-81), and Swiss-born Jacob
Kamm’s being raised on the Mississippi River by a steamboat captain before going
west to build his own steamboat empire (1830-1912).
