My Favorite Quotations, Volume 7 is a 104-page collection of stories, quotations, poetry, cartoons and
drawings collected by Stuart Rawlings between 1998 and 2007. This volume features comments about the
recent Iraq war, stories of magicians entertaining for world leaders, new perspectives on Christianity and
Islam, and introductions to programs from the "Golden Age of Radio."

My Favorite Quotations, Volume 6 is a 96-page collection of poems, sayings, stories and other brief
writings compiled by Stuart Rawlings between 1991 and 1998. As with all the volumes in this series, the
mood varies from light humor to profound thought, and the topics include adventure, children, education,
love, nature, religion, science, stories, and many other areas of life.
Between 1991 and 1998, Stuart earned his Ph.D. in Social Welfare at U.C. Berkeley, married Elsa Johnston,
and moved with her to Auburn, California. His work during this period included being a social worker with
Sierra Adoption Services, a professor at four universities in Northern California, and an
attorney for the Stratigent Corporation. He also traveled to the Amazon rain forest five times to write his
Ph. D. dissertation, "Life Stories of Indians in the Peruvian Amazon."

My Favorite Quotations, Volume 5 is a 112-page collection of brief writings compiled by Stuart Rawlings
which is similar to the other volumes in this series. This one was written between 1986 and 1991, when Stuart
worked as an administrator for Adopt International, as a manager for three homeless shelters in San Francisco,
and as a social worker for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. He was also a journalist in Nicaragua and El
Salvador, a co-writer of Jiri Wolf's autobiography in Czechoslovakia, and a traveler to Nepal and South
Vietnam.

My Favorite Quotations, Volume 4 is a 114-page collection of brief writings compiled by Stuart and Sandi
Foster-Rawlings which is similar to the other volumes in this series. This one was written between 1981 and
1986, when Stuart worked as an administrator for the Stanford Sleep Disorders Center. He also spent a year
with his wife Sandi in India and Nepal.

My Favorite Quotations", Volume 3 is a 94-page collection of brief writings compiled by Stuart Rawlings
which is similar to the other volumes in this series. This one was written between 1976 and 1981, when Stuart
worked for his mother's Lazzari Fuel Company, spent fifteen months exploring Africa, and married
psychologist Sandi Foster.

My Favorite Quotations, Volume 2 is a 102-page collection of brief writings compiled by Stuart
Rawlings which is similar to the other volumes in this series. This one was written between 1971 and 1976,
when Stuart went to George Washington Law School in Washington D.C., worked for Ralph Nader's Center
for Responsive Law, explored Africa for 15 months, and spent a year living on an Israeli kibbutz.

My Favorite Quotations, Volume 1 is a 105-page collection of brief writings compiled by Stuart
Rawlings which is the original volume in this series. Stuart started collecting quotations in 1962 while at
Stanford, and between 1962 and 1971 (when this first volume appeared) he took major trips to Peru,
Mississippi, Brazil and South Vietnam. The book for this volume is out of print but is available in an
8 1/2" x 11" copy.
